Launched in 2012 as the natural extension of the Samoa world, Bside translates over twenty years of sofa know-how into the design and production of designer upholstered beds. The project was conceived with a precise strategic goal: to provide our customers with quality products not only in the living room but also in the bedroom, completing the path that began in the lounge with Samoa sofas.
Entering bedrooms means presiding over the most personal and regenerating moment of the day, offering a consistent experience that involves the entire home. The philosophy remains unchanged: broad range, sophisticated designs and advanced functions supported by the same choice of textiles that set Samoa sofas apart.
Upholstered beds for every need.
The Bside collection interprets contemporary lifestyles with modern designs and advanced functional solutions. Every model is designed to fulfil the real needs of those who see the bedroom as a multifunctional space: base-lifting systems, spacious storage compartments, modular headboards with removable covers.
The wide range of textiles, the same as those available for the sofas, enable you to create a uniform aesthetic that flows seamlessly between the bedroom and the living room. Research remains the driving force: our designs are contemporary, inspired by international trends but always adjusted to the needs of our customers and the Italian and European market.
Every bed is custom-made.
In line with the Samoa identity, Bside embraces the concept of made to order with every bed custom-made according to the needs of the customer. From the upholstery and the base to the mattress, from storage compartments and base-lifting systems through to non-standard sizes, panelling and bespoke quilted headboards.
The customer can define every detail and feel that they are at the centre of an authentically personal project, while the company maintains total control over the design, prototyping and production phases, all of which performed in Italy. The current collection consists of over 70 base models that can be used in hundreds of possible combinations.
Expert craftsmanship and Italian supply chain.
Transferring our skills from sofas to beds was both natural and strategic. Our upholstering expertise, finetuned over the decades thanks to our experience of crafting sofas, is combined with specially-designed wooden structures to guarantee the bed the same ergonomic and quality characteristics.
At the same time the technical offices have designed bases, mechanisms and storage compartments optimised for reliable and practical everyday use. The supply chain is the same as the sofa production chain: a network of select suppliers that has worked with the company for over 30 years, guaranteeing certified materials, stable lead times and strict quality controls.
Every Bside bed, just like every Samoa sofa, is made exclusively in Italy with a controlled and traceable supply chain.
