Breathable and sustainable: our seats in CircularRefoam

Traspiranti e sostenibili: le nostre sedute in CircularRefoam

For us, interpreting the principles of sustainability means acting across several levels, from manufacturing processes to energy choices, design approaches to the use of quality and durable materials. For the seats of our sofas, for example, we use the innovative CircularRefoam polyurethane foam.
Ergonomic and breathable, it is made from a blend of virgin and recycled materials with a production process that reduces the use of new resources, water consumption and CO2 emissions.

Circular approach

The production of CircularRefoam is based on the principles of the circular economy, which involves the recovery of waste materials or materials from post-consumer products and their transformation into resources. Samoa fully supports this approach and supplements it with a commitment to producing resistant and flexible furniture designed to stand the test of time, to be rethought as required and to adapt to spaces.

The recovery of the foam, its conversion into new raw materials and its reuse in the production process are, in the case of CircularRefoam, the three major sustainability choices aimed at creating a future circular economy model for a material – polyurethane – that is still irreplaceable.

Conscious design

Samoa Comfort Challenge #7

Aware of the degree to which our decisions and design approach can impact the environment around us, we work with the goal of offering solutions that are sustainable from lots of different points of view. We do this by using quality and, where possible, ecofriendly materials, but also by making versatile and renewable products that adapt to the different needs of living spaces. A choice that reduces the need to buy new furniture when circumstances or preferences change, limiting waste and promoting a more responsible and sustainable lifestyle.
